Dal Vada

Material:

1 bowl gram flour

3 to 4 green chillies

7 to 8 garlic cloves

curry leaves

1 tsp turmeric

1 teaspoon cumin

1/2 cup coriander, finely chopped

oil for frying

salt to taste

Action:

1) Wash gram dal. Then soak for 3 to 4 hours. – Pour the water into the strainer. Keep the dal like this for half an hour so that most of the water gets drained out.

2) Add green chilli (chopped), ginger, garlic, curry leaves and a little salt in the mixer and grind it to half. Grind the remaining dal also in the same manner.

3) Take out the chopped lentils from the bowl. Add chilli paste and salt as per taste. Also add chopped coriander, turmeric and cumin and mix.

4) Heat oil in a pan. Apply oil on plastic paper and pat the vada roughly. Fry in hot oil on medium flame.

Eat hot vada with green chutney or uri chutney.
