Material:
1 bowl semolina
2 cups water
Finely chop 1 onion
Chop 1/2 tomato
Pav Vati Matar – optional
2 tbsp oil
Finely chop 3 chillies
4-5 curry leaves
a small piece of grated ginger
1 spoon urad dal
1 teaspoon sugar
chopped coriander

For paste: half teaspoon mustard, half teaspoon cumin, half teaspoon asafoetida

Action:
1) First of all, fry the semolina well.
2) Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger, urad dal. When urad dal turns red, add curry leaves and chillies and break it. Fry chopped onion and 4-6 tomato pieces and add peas.
3) Add semolina and fry on medium flame for 2-3 minutes. – Keep the water hot on the second grate. Mix half a spoon of salt and a little sugar in it beforehand.
4) When the water becomes well heated, pour it into the pan. And shake it and put the lid on top. After 2 minutes add salt as per taste. And keep boiling well.
5) When the upma is cooked well, take it out in a vessel, add green coriander and squeeze lemon. And if you want, you can also eat it by adding thin slices on top.
