Soya Granules Upma

Time: 10 to 15 minutes
Service: 1

Material:

35 grams soya granules
1 spoon ghee
¼ tsp cumin
pinch of asafoetida
4 to 5 curry leaves
1 or 2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 small onion chopped
1 tablespoon green peas
1 tablespoon diced carrots
1 tablespoon chopped French beans
salt to taste
sugar to taste
coriander chopped

guidance:

  1. Soak soya granules in cold water for 4-5 minutes. Squeeze out all the water.
  2. – Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin, asafoetida, curry leaves, green chilli. roast.
  3. Add onion and fry until transparent. Add green peas, carrots and French beans. Add some water and let everything cook well.
  4. Add squeezed soya grains and some water. Mix sugar and salt also. Cook until the water almost evaporates. Garnish with fresh coriander. serve hot.

Comment:

  1. To make it vegetarian, add oil in place of ghee.
  2. Add cashews to add some crunch to the umpah.
