Soya Granules Upma

Material:
35 grams soya granules
1 spoon ghee
¼ tsp cumin
pinch of asafoetida
4 to 5 curry leaves
1 or 2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 small onion chopped
1 tablespoon green peas
1 tablespoon diced carrots
1 tablespoon chopped French beans
salt to taste
sugar to taste
coriander chopped
guidance:
- Soak soya granules in cold water for 4-5 minutes. Squeeze out all the water.
- – Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin, asafoetida, curry leaves, green chilli. roast.
- Add onion and fry until transparent. Add green peas, carrots and French beans. Add some water and let everything cook well.
- Add squeezed soya grains and some water. Mix sugar and salt also. Cook until the water almost evaporates. Garnish with fresh coriander. serve hot.
Comment:
- To make it vegetarian, add oil in place of ghee.
- Add cashews to add some crunch to the umpah.
